Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Sr Principal Information Systems Project Manager to join a multi-disciplined team responsible for the design, build, delivery, and sustainment of high-performance computer environments. The Information Systems Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the project(s) through design, build, integration, and delivery of high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure supporting a new ground-based radar system for Space Domain Awareness (SDA). This role leads cross-functional Information Technology (IT) and engineering teams, defines technical objectives, and ensures solutions are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with performance and security requirements. This role will be reporting directly to the Compute Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead who is responsible for multiple Information Systems projects and collaborate with peer project managers.\nResponsibilities:\nLead one or more IT infrastructure projects that span multiple functional organizations.\nCollaborate with portfolio Compute IPT lead and peer project managers on share personnel resource utilization and tasking prioritization\nOwn the infrastructure design, build, integration, and delivery of HPC solutions supporting SDA ground-based radar missions.\nDevelop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and milestones.\nIdentify and coordinate technical and business resources across System Administrators, Network Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Software Developers, Cyber Security Engineers, Requirements Engineers, and MBSE Systems Engineers.\nEnsure projects meet cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance goals.\nApply sound technical decision making and leveraging the team’s expertise in HPC, RedHat Linux, networking, and cyber security to solve complex problems.\nProvide technical and analytical guidance; mentor and direct the work of multi-disciplinary team members (~15).\nExercise latitude in determining technical objectives and solution approaches.\nRepresent the organization as the primary technical / project contact on assigned contracts and projects.\nPrepare and deliver clear technical briefings, status updates, and recommendations to internal leadership and external customers.\nStay current on advances in IT, HPC, and cyber security and recommend improvements to architectures and processes.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 4 years of professional experience. \nRequires an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nExperience leading or managing information technology projects involving:High-performance computing environments\nGPGPU and multi-node processing architectures\nExperience with Agile methodologies and execution.\nHands-on experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).\n\nDemonstrated ability to clearly communicate and present technical approaches, trade studies, and findings.\nAbility to travel 10% domestically or internationally\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with HPE high-performance computing platforms (e.g., HPE HCP).\nSome background in:RedHat Linux administration and integration\nNetworking design and configuration\nCyber security and secure infrastructure design\n\nExperience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams on complex DoD or radar / SDA programs.\nFamiliarity with MBSE and requirements management tools and processes.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
