Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Deputy Chief Engineer/SEIT lead role (level 5) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in San Diego, CA.\nIn this role, success comes with being a self-starter with experience working in an Integrated Product Team environment and partnering with engineering, cybersecurity, program, and stakeholder teams to support program execution across Development and Sustainment activities.\nRoles and Responsibilities include:\nSupport Development and Sustainment programs by identifying cybersecurity risks and supporting the design, development, integration, test, and verification of system security solutions.\nIdentify cybersecurity risks, work with stakeholders to develop technical and programmatic remediation plans, and support incorporation of cybersecurity improvements into the system.\nEngage customer counterparts and internal stakeholders to drive improvements to the system’s cybersecurity posture.\nSupport cybersecurity vulnerability management activities, including review, analysis, prioritization, and disposition of vulnerability findings.\nSupport cybersecurity scanning and assessment activities using approved cybersecurity assessment tools.\nSupport development, review, and maintenance of cybersecurity compliance packages and related cybersecurity evidence.\nSupport requirements management activities, including review and verification of cybersecurity-related requirements.\nCoordinate with systems engineering, software, integration/test, configuration management, and program stakeholders to support cybersecurity execution across the system lifecycle.\nSupport preparation and presentation of cybersecurity and systems engineering materials for program reviews, working groups, and stakeholder discussions.\nApply systems thinking to evaluate cybersecurity impacts across system architecture, operational constraints, and mission needs.\nSupport process improvement efforts that strengthen cybersecurity execution, traceability, planning, and closure discipline.\nUnderstanding of systems engineering and systems integration principles and processes\nSupport the SEIT Lead plan, execute, and close out program reviews and milestones.\nDemonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal\nExperience in systems development, integration, and test.\nFamiliarity with DOORS or Cameo\nExcellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management\nSupport the collection and management of key systems engineering metrics and Technical Performance Measures\nContinually coordinate between the SEIT Lead and Chief Engineer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline, including identification of technical debt and coordination of system/product componentry integration across the product teams.\nThis role requires full-time onsite work at the Spectrum Center, CA facility. There is no remote, hybrid, or telework availability for this position. Travel up to 25% may be required in support of program needs.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) 12 Years with BS; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD\nMust have experience in one or more Systems Engineering areas such as technical planning, system design development, verification and validation, cost and risk, requirements management, formal program review support, requirements verification, model-based systems engineering, or system lifecycle execution.\nMust have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\nAbility to work 100% on-site full-time in San Diego, CA\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in cybersecurity vulnerability management, cybersecurity scanning and assessment, cybersecurity compliance package development, or cybersecurity requirements verification.\nExperience working directly with Authorization to Operate documentation or related cybersecurity authorization packages.\nExperience working in an Integrated Product Team environment with engineering, cybersecurity, software, integration/test, configuration management, and program stakeholders.\nExperience in Agile process\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
