This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.\nIn this role you will perform advanced structural analysis and act as a technical leader for complex vehicle structures. The ideal candidate is one who works effectively in a dynamic environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels.\nKey Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nPerform finite element modeling and analysis (FEM/FEA) using tools such as NASTRAN and/or ANSYS.\nApply strong understanding of solid mechanics, fatigue, and damage tolerance, including experience with composite materials and CAD software.\nUse classical structural analysis techniques, including free-body diagrams, statics, mechanics of materials, and structural dynamics.\nInterpret component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures to support structural analysis and integration.\nAttend and present at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and formal program milestone reviews to provide and obtain technical progress updates.\nOperate as a self-starter, capable of working with minimal direction while driving issues to closure.\nBasic Qualifications:\nMust have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 12 years of related professional/military experience; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 10 years of related professional/military experience; OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 8 years of related professional/military experience.\nMust have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.\nExperience in supplier/customer relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and/or following up.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAn US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\nMasters Degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.\nExperience with the design, analysis and integration of environmental control systems.\nExperience with NX and/or CPLM\nExperience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.\nExperience writing/reviewing technical documents: SSOWs, SRDs, ICDs, SDRL reviews, etc.\nExperience in leading, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex technical solutions, within cost and schedule constraints, across the various phases of the engineering lifecycle.\nWe offer phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly collaborative workplace. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
