This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.\nIn this role you will serve as the structural dynamics subject matter expert, leading analyses related to flutter, whirl flutter, aero-servoelastic behavior, and gust response. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural dynamic analysis with concentration in flow-structure coupling and aeroelastic analysis.\nKey Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nAct as the subject matter expert specializing in vehicle structural dynamics.\nServe as the technical lead in all matters related to flutter, whirl flutter, aero-servoelastic analysis, and gust response analysis.\nApply a strong foundation in structural dynamic analysis with concentration in flow-structure coupling and aeroelastic analysis.\nPerform and/or review post-flight data processing and resulting data products pertaining to flutter and dynamics.\nLead a small team to rapid resolution of complex structural dynamics problems, acting as a proactive, forward-thinking, highly motivated self-starter.\nAttend and/or present at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and formal program milestone reviews to provide and obtain technical progress status updates.\nBasic Qualifications:\nMust have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 10 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 8 years of relevant experience.\nMust have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.\nExperience in supplier/customer relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and/or following up.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDegree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering with an emphasis in aircraft loads and dynamics (flight loads, ground loads, flutter, aeroelasticity, etc.).\nCurrent active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or under Continuous Evaluation).\nWorking knowledge of structural dynamics and aeroelasticity design.\nKnowledge of test requirements, including military standards and specifications.\nExperience drafting operational limits and interim flight clearances related to flutter, along with an understanding of the U.S. Navy aircraft certification process.\nStrong foundation in structural dynamic analysis with concentration in flow-structure coupling, aeroelastic analysis, and flight and ground vibration testing.\nExperience with vibration, vibro-acoustics, shock response, and environment generation.\nExperience in the use of industry-standard loads and dynamics analysis software: NASTRAN, PATRAN, FEMAP, ZONAIR, ZAERO, FEMtools, Simcenter Testlab.\nExperience with MATLAB, CAD tools (NX), IADS, Fortran, Visual Studio.\nExperience leading a team or project.\nWe offer phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly collaborative workplace.
