This position is in Huntsville, AL.\nWhat you will get to do:\nPrimary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:\nSupport development and integration of physics-based predictive models and simulation frameworks for cruise-missile accuracy performance.\nConduct maturation, validation, and verification of accuracy error models using ground- and flight-test data.\nPerform post-flight estimation and analysis of missile accuracy, producing technical reports and executive-level presentations.\nDevelop and trace requirements for modeling, simulation, and analysis tools; manage change-request and Engineering Review Board (ERB) processes.\nSupport agile development practices using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to manage tasks and deliverables.\nSupport mission-effectiveness trade-studies and recommend alternative architecture solutions.\nThe ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 Years with bachelor’s in science; 10 Years with masters; 8 Years with PhD.\nMust be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.\nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.\n5 years of demonstrated experience with physics-based mathematical modeling and simulation.\n5 years of experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++/C#, SQL, MATLAB, R)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nActive DoD Top Secret Clearance.\nOutstanding skills in building rapport and interfacing with external team partners and customers.\nProactive self-starter capable of identifying process gaps and implementing effective solutions.\nExperience developing and tracing complex requirements, managing change requests, and participating in Engineering Review Board processes.\nHands-on experience with Earned Value Management, Integrated Master Schedule reporting, and agile methodologies using Jira/Confluence.\nAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:\nMedical, Dental & Vision coverage\n401k\nEducational Assistance\nLife Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions\nPaid Time Off\nHealth & Wellness Resources\nEmployee Discounts\nThis position's standard work schedule is 9/80.
