Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman's Central Engineering team is seeking a System Engineering Integration (SEI) Lead Level 5, located in Huntsville, AL\nIn this role, you will:\nLead development and execution of the program’s system/software integration strategy, coordinating integration across components, a Software Integration Lab (SIL), multiple development teams, and the program cloud environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWork with internal and external customers to define and document instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning-including acquisition, processing, and analysis-to satisfy test objectives.\nCreate, validate, and verify test plans, procedures, and test reports in accordance with program standards.\nLead the engineering team that supports software integration for formal test events.\nProvide regular status updates and flag blockers to upper leadership to drive timely resolution.\nTranslate mission needs and technical objectives into clear, model-based architecture artifacts.\nApply systems engineering processes (requirements management, interface control, Verification and Validation) to software, ensuring traceability and integration across the system architecture.\nDevelop and maintain MBSE architecture products for advanced concept and campaign efforts.\nApply SysML and UAF to capture system structure, behavior, interfaces, and traceability.\nDecompose complex problems into actionable engineering products and modeling tasks.\nPartner with systems, software, and mission teams to align models to evolving technical direction.\nContribute to modeling methods, architecture standards, and digital engineering practices.\nEffective communication and organization skills to clearly communicate technical insights, assumptions, risks, and recommendations to engineering teams and leadership.\nHigh-accountability engineers who take ownership and follow through\nStrong individual contributors who can create clarity where little exists\nTechnically sharp, hardworking team members who embrace challenge\nFast learners with sound engineering judgment\nLow-ego partners who raise the quality and pace of the team\nMission-focused contributors who consistently deliver strong results\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelors of Science degree in a STEM field and at least 12 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a PhD and at least 8 years of relevant military / professional experience\nMust have experience applying MBSE on complex aerospace, defense, or advanced technology efforts.\nMust have experience with SysML and UAF.\nMust have experience in system architecture, requirements development, interface analysis, and technical decomposition.\nExperience leading an Integrated Product Team of 5 or more, with prior system integration experience in labs, clouds relating to both software and platforms.\nPrevious verification and validation experience.\nExperience with risk management (identification and development of risks) and driving risk mitigations to closure.\nundefined\nExperience in Agile methodologies.\nExperience with use of DevOps tools such as Jira, BitBucket, Confluence, etc.\nMust have an active US Government Secret \nRole will require 20% travel.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAdvanced degree in Systems Engineering or related technical field.\nPrevious work on DoD military development and production programs\nAble to work independently with minimal direction and act as team lead for larger test efforts\nExperience in research, advanced development, campaign, or early-stage concept work.\nDemonstrated ability to solve difficult technical problems with creativity, discipline, and urgency.\nExperience contributing across cross-functional teams without direct authority.\nFamiliarity with digital engineering environments and model-based architecture methods.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
