This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.\nThe selected Systems or Software Configuration Analyst 5 join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons System (GWS) Configuration Management and Data Management (CM/DM) Team supporting successful and compliant execution of all phases of Configuration & Data Management (CDM) principles (planning, configuration identification, change control, status accounting, verification/audits, and data management).\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupports CM activities across the GMD weapon-system portfolio, encompassing software, integration with subcontractor-produced hardware, and all sites.\nDevelops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.\nPerforms configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.\nDesigns and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.\nCompletes SW CM and media integrity checks.\nMay develop software configuration standards for program-wide use.\nWorks with software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.\nUpholds configuration control and certifies baselines revisions throughout the project lifecycle.\nMonitors configuration-data repositories to maintain data integrity, traceability, security and accessibility.\nSupports the harmonization of CDM processes and tools while championing innovative solutions to improve efficiency.\nOperate and plan in an Agile environment.\nThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and work closely with Program/Engineering leadership to ensure long-term/short-term milestones are accomplished.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree plus 12 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management; or a Master’s Degree plus 10 years of relevant CM experience\nMust have an active DOD Secret security clearance at the time of application\nUnderstanding and demonstrated experience with the implementation of configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII) and baseline management.\nExperience with analyzing proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system baseline.\nExperience in reviewing contract documents to determine documentation/product delivery requirements for each phase of project.\nExperience using configuration and data management tools.\nExperience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry.\nExperience performing and analyzing data integrity scans.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nMust be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment full-time.\nAbility and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nStrong Software Configuration Management background.\nExperience operating in Agile development environments.\nExperience using Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira.\nExperience with CM and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.\nExperience running and analyzing Checksum scans.\nDemonstrated implementation of configuration status accounting / CM verification.\nStrong knowledge of how business processes work together to ensure interfaces with other business processes are efficient.\nExperience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and/or supplier deliverables (SDRLs).\nExperience in developing impact assessments.\nWhat We Can Offer You:\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment that encourages your growth, benefiting both employees and the company.
