This role is responsible for releasing and maintaining manufacturing work orders to support customer demands. The Senior Planner understands ERP planning, production scheduling, and maintains a current inventory of WIP and finished goods.\nResponsibilities\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nCreate and release work orders to Operations. Upon completion of work orders, ensure timely final processing and closure of work orders. \nCreate and maintain production schedules. Solve scheduling conflicts and issues. Ensure labor and equipment availability. Communicate schedule changes to affected team members. Conduct regular production meetings with key stakeholders. \nMaintain adequate inventory of subassemblies to support production activities. Ensure ERP information is accurate and adjust as demands change. \nEnsure appropriate inventory levels are established for manufactured products. \nPlan and develop workflows for new products and product changes. Incorporate product changes into production BOMs and coordinate inventory levels while minimizing scrap and excess production. \nIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. \nEarly Development\nAfter 3 months you will:\nDevelop a working knowledge of NorthStar products and internal business systems. \nAccurately create, release, and close work orderrs in the ERP system. \nSchedule work orders for production. \nAfter 6 months you will:\nIndependently manage the production schedule for assigned business units. \nProactively identify and resolve work order related issues, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. \nLead a weekly production meeting to ensure key stakeholders understand requirements and business needs. \nCollaborate on document change orders and implement change orders into the production schedule effectively. \nQualifications\nMinimum Education/Experience Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Business Administration and minimum of five (5) years of scheduling and production planning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nPlease note the company cannot provide immigration-related sponsorship (including H-1B status, O-1 status, Optional Practical Training support, etc.) for this position.
