Work is performed in a hybrid environment with a great team.\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nAssist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications. \nJavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review. \nWork closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences. \nHelp define and interact with REST based API’s. \nTroubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support. \nWrite unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing. \nRequirements\nMust obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one\nU.S. Citizenship is required. \nAt least 5 years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. \nMust have 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency. \nFamiliarity with Git or other version control software. \nComfortable working on a *nix command line. \nSelf-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly. \nProblem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed. \nMust be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2 days per week at our San Antonio office. Although project requirements may dictate schedules, a Northstrat employee is only required to work an average of 8 hours per weekday over the course of a month. For example: John worked 12 hours on June 1st to meet a project deadline. On June 15th, John only worked 4 hours because he left early for a long weekend.
