The shifts include:\nMonday: 7am to 3:30pm, Friday: 7am to 11am and Saturday: 7am to 3:30pm\nThe Supply Chain Specialist I, Logistics reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.\nThe Supply Chain Spec I, Logistics performs the daily activities of various tasks within the Supply Chain team including inventory ordering and replenishment, receiving, equipment, linen, and mail. Works in role to meet and exceed established key process indicators (KPI’s). Provides input on inventory level analysis and process improvement initiatives. Assists with communication as directed within the department related to policies, procedures, MDI and standard work methodologies. Work with clinical staff on communication around product changes. Assists all internal customers regarding supply chain logistic issues and communicates with Supply Chain Leadership regarding findings and resolutions.\n Responsibilities:\nFollows standard work and methodologies around inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail.\nUtilizes standard processes within WaveMark and PeopleSoft to maintain data integrity.\nUtilizes problem solving skills to resolve noncomplex situations involving technology, customers, staff, and other supply chain management personnel: consults with SC Leadership for guidance as needed.\nPerforms daily activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.\nAssists with special projects as required.\nEnsures support of MDI and daily huddles.\nOrders and delivers supplies and/or linen to user areas based on par level. Identifies stock shortages and notify management.\nConducts routine audits of supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure inventory accuracy, compliance with par levels, and proper usage.\nIdentifies and documents discrepancies, expirations, shortages, or overstock; communicates findings to management and supports corrective actions.\nAnswers incoming calls from users identifying supply needs.\nMaintains work area to ensure a clean and safe environment.\nPromotes safety in the workplace, following proper lifting and pushing/pulling techniques and utilizing equipment correctly.\nNotifies supervisor of equipment needing repairs. Reports all safety hazards to manager.\nCommunicates to supervisor any issues, including inability to complete schedule and is proactive in dealing with observed deficiencies (reports issues/work requests to supervisor/manager, picks up debris outside of regular work area)\nEstablishes and maintains interpersonal relationships with hospital personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information.\nUse organizational and unit/department resources efficiently.\nManages work schedule efficiently, completing tasks and assignments on time.\nContributes to opportunities and processes for continuous improvement.\nParticipate in efforts to reduce costs, streamline work processes, improve and grow the services we provide.\nPresents a friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and appearance.\nProvides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers. Addresses questions and concerns promptly or identifies appropriate person and resources to do so.\nProvides directions or help to patients and customers with finding their way.\nUse effective service recovery skills to solve problems or service breakdowns when they occur.\nDemonstrates teamwork by helping co-workers within and across departments.\nCommunicates effectively with others, respects diverse opinions and styles, and acknowledges the assistance and contributions of others.\n Required:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent; or in lieu of high school diploma/GED, must have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.\nMust exhibit the ability to follow oral and written instructions.\nMust be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.\nComputer literate - ability to learn various programs\nMust be able to work independently and respond quickly under pressure when problems arise\nGood organizational skills.\nAbility to think critically\n Preferred:\nTwo years’ work experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
