Services include: base operations support services; facilities management/maintenance (MEP, etc.); landscaping, janitorial & pest control; environmental support (waste management, exposure assessments, etc.); safety and quality management; training & records management; IT data center management; safeguards, security & access controls; equipment maintenance; logistics and materials management.\n\nPOSITION PURPOSE: \nResponsible for identifying and performing facility maintenance activities. Supervises assigned maintenance personnel, including staffing and performance management. Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for identifying and accomplishing the efficient and effective performance of infrastructure maintenance.\nProvides direct oversight for all grounds maintenance activities, and other activities as assigned.\nEnsures that assigned personnel are adequately supplied with information, materials, tools and equipment.\nSupervises assigned personnel, including staffing and performance management.\nEnsures that assigned personnel follow all safety and security policies and procedures.\nEnsures that assigned personnel observe all work rules.\nResponsible and accountable for Safety & Health performance and the communication of safety awareness.\nOperates equipment including those requiring Commercial Driver’s License, if necessary\nMaintains a safe working environment. Demonstrates awareness and implementation of applicable environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) requirements while also alerting co-workers of such requirements as needed.\nDemonstrates the ability to get along with co-workers, customers and visitors.\nDemonstrates a personal commitment to safety and quality.\nEnsures safety and health of employees during work tasks, utilizing good work practices and following procedures and protocols.\nMaintain ODNR Trapping License and Department of Agriculture Commercial Applicator License.\nOperate computer maintenance management software efficiently for daily entry of required data.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nSafety Responsibilities\n\nKeep work area in order and free of hazards. \nPerform work within the controls identified and stop work when an unsafe work condition exists. \nActively participate in safety programs and initiatives. \nReport all injuries. \nParticipate in work planning so that hazards are identified and appropriate corrective actions are taken. \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nEducation and Experience\nRequires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years related work experience, including two years in a supervisory or lead role.\nPrevious experience in grounds maintenance, construction, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, HVAC, excavation, and/or safety role is a plus.\nSkills and Abilities\nLanguage Skills\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. \nAbility to write routine and non-routine reports and correspondence. \nAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.\nMathematics Skills\nAbility to make mathematical calculations with reasonable speed and accuracy.\nReasoning Ability\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.\nOther Skills/Abilities\nAbility to operate typical grounds and facility maintenance equipment is required. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Adobe \nMust have experience with the CMMS system SOMAX\nSpecial Requirements:\nMust obtain and maintain ODNR Trapping License and Department of Agriculture Commercial Applicator License.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” clearance.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to sit for part of the day. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and drive.\nThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Manual dexterity abilities required include operating machinery and equipment.\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\nWork is typically performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
