We are building a global network of phased array ground stations that enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions such as national security, global connectivity, and disaster response. With a vertically integrated approach, Northwood designs, builds, and rapidly deploys scalable systems that power the next generation of space missions. If you like solving complex challenges and seeing your work deployed around the world with real impact, Northwood is the place to do it.\nRole:\nWe are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of integration technicians building, integrating, and testing parabolic and phased-array antenna systems for ground-based satellite communications. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with responsibility for team performance, build quality, safety, and production execution. As we transition from development builds to repeatable production, you will partner closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to establish consistent assembly processes, resolve build challenges, and develop a skilled technician team.\nResponsibilities:\nLead day-to-day activities for integration technicians, assigning work based on production priorities, material availability, and team capacity to meet quality and delivery requirements.\n\nProvide hands-on guidance for mechanical and electromechanical assembly, precision alignment, structural integration, and verification of antenna systems.\n\nHire, train, coach, and develop technicians, establishing clear expectations for workmanship, productivity, safety, and accountability.\n\nPartner with Engineering and Quality to troubleshoot build issues, resolve nonconformances, and translate prototype lessons into standardized work instructions and repeatable assembly processes.\n\nTrack build progress, production output, and quality trends; communicate risks and coordinate with Supply Chain and production planning to resolve shortages and other blockers.\n\nMaintain safe, organized work areas and accurate build records, while coordinating technician support for domestic and international ground station installations and deployments.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\n7+ years of hands-on mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly and integration experience in a hardware manufacturing environment.\n\n2+ years of experience leading technicians or production teams as a supervisor, team lead, or equivalent, including work allocation, training, and performance feedback.\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical specifications and guide others in their application.\n\nProficiency with hand and power tools, torque tools, fasteners, and precision measurement equipment, with strong attention to alignment, fit, and workmanship.\n\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot assembly issues, coordinate across technical teams, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced hardware development or production environment.\n\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support hardware installation, integration, and team activities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience helping transition complex hardware from prototype development to repeatable production, including establishing standard work and improving throughput.\n\nExperience with antenna systems, RF hardware, satellite communications equipment, or similarly complex aerospace or electromechanical products.\n\nFamiliarity with manufacturing quality systems, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lean manufacturing practices.\n\nTechnical training, trade school education, or equivalent practical experience, with familiarity using ERP, MES, or digital work instruction systems to manage production and build traceability.\n\nAdditional Information:\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation as part of your application for employment or interviews with us, please let us know.\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nNorthwood Space is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with Northwood Space is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.","description_format":"text","description_chars":4789,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":7,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":true,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Satellite Communications","Ground Systems"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-20T23:12:36Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":4,"expected_fill_days":54,"reasons":["conf:1","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-10-25T05:49:26Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":120000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/northwood-space-production-supervisor","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/northwood-space-production-supervisor.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-25T16:34:17Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":23880,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-26T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":6433},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=6433"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fnorthwood-space-production-supervisor"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fnorthwood-space-production-supervisor"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fnorthwood-space-production-supervisor"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/northwood-space-production-supervisor\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fnorthwood-space-production-supervisor"}]}
