If you like solving complex challenges and seeing your work deployed around the world with real impact, Northwood is the place to do it.\nRole:\nThe Workplace Operations Manager will own the day-to-day operations and long-term effectiveness of our manufacturing and workplace facilities. This person will ensure that building systems, production spaces, and employee work areas are safe, reliable, and ready to support a growing team. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Workplace teams, they will build practical processes for maintenance, vendor management, and space planning as our products scale into full production.\nResponsibilities:\nManage facility operations across production lines, the machine shop, inventory areas, and office space, resolving issues that could disrupt work.\n\nOwn preventive maintenance and repairs for building systems, utilities, equipment infrastructure, cleaning, and grounds.\n\nPartner with Production and Engineering to plan facility work around manufacturing priorities and support changing equipment and space needs.\n\nDevelop scalable processes for work orders, inspections, access, emergency response, and facility records.\n\nManage contractors and service providers, including scopes of work, schedules, performance, contracts, and the facilities budget.\n\nLead space planning and facility improvements that support employee growth, production capacity, and an effective workplace experience.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience in facilities management or operations, including responsibility for an industrial, manufacturing, or similarly complex site.\n\nExperience managing building maintenance, service vendors, and facility projects from planning through completion.\n\nWorking knowledge of building systems and the ability to assess issues, set priorities, and coordinate timely solutions.\n\nStrong organizational and communication skills, with experience balancing urgent operational needs and longer-term improvements across teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting a manufacturing organization through rapid growth or increased production volume.\n\nExperience supporting production lines, machine shops, warehouses, or other equipment-intensive spaces.\n\nExperience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or another fast-growing hardware environment.\n\nFamiliarity with facilities management software, preventive maintenance programs, and facility budgeting.\n\nAdditional Information:\nIf you need a reasonable accommodation as part of your application for employment or interviews with us, please let us know.\nTo conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.\nNorthwood Space is an Equal Opportunity Employer;
