You’ll experience first-hand the many facets of our business, and network with smart, innovative, creative people dedicated to your professional growth and development.\nPrimary duties may include but are not limited to: Assisting Port Manager(s), Operation Manager(s), Coordinator(s) and Agent(s) in various tasks as needed; marine operations, agency, and administrative functions associated with individual vessel calls to assigned Port of Operations as needed.\nSummary of Objectives:\nAssist with billing procedures.\nAssist with follow-up and completion of pro forma requests.\nEstablished and maintain marine vessel file insuring documentation is prepared in an accurate and timely fashion.\nPrepare/execute required governmental and agency documents for appropriate approvals and submission to marine vessel files.\nProcure operation, agency, and administrative services for assigned marine vessels.\nMakes required trips to United States Immigration Control, and U.S. Customs Office to ensure all necessary documentation is ready for arrivals and departures.\nPerform other related duties at the discretion of Port Manager or other member of management team.\nNot all aspects of the job are covered by the descriptions, other duties may be required.\nPosition may change as the industry and technology evolve.\nRequirements:\nJunior or senior level in good standings and / or pursuing a maritime career or related business career preferred.\nMinimum GPA of 2.5 or higher preferred.\nAvailable between the months of May - August.\nVerifiable excellent customer services abilities.\nAble to enter, generate and retrieve information using a computer.\nStrong communication skills, with groups and in individual interactions to solve problems.\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.\nMust have reliable transportation.\nMust be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.\nEnergetic, self-motivated, and results oriented.\nProven team player who is both flexible and adaptable to changing environments.\nTransportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) highly preferred.\nWorking Conditions:\nJob involves frequent and extensive walking, lifting, climbing, stooping, bending, and jumping. \nFrequent walking and standing\nFrequent climbing (gangway) up to heights of six feet or more\nOccasional exposure to outside weather conditions\nFrequent and proper lifting of up to 50 pounds\nIncumbent will be required to make numerous trips to the marine vessel during its time in port to handle any issues relevant to the efficient arrival and departure of the vessel.\nAs a matter of policy, NLI does not sponsor visas for US positions unless specified.
