You will work with managers and services to coordinate governance and assurance, monitor compliance and performance, support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification, and help drive continuous improvement across our operational services.\nAbout You\nThe ideal candidate will have:\nA Level 3 health and safety qualification, or an equivalent recognised qualification.\nAppropriate experience of health and safety management, including developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.\nKnowledge and understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015, and the ability to assess how legislative changes may affect operational services.\nKnowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with experience of auditing against these standards.\nExperience of delivering clear and effective training or presentations to employees and managers at different levels of an organisation.\nThe ability to communicate effectively and appropriately, both verbally and in writing, including when dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.\nStrong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain effective administrative systems, prioritise competing demands and work under pressure with minimal supervision.\nA flexible and motivated approach, with the ability to adapt to changing customer and service requirements.\nGood IT skills, including experience of using standard office software, email and internet-based systems.\nA full driving licence, access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel inside and outside the Council area as required.\nYou can find the job description for this post here.\nAt Nottingham City Council we believe that work is what you do, not where you do it.
