Does that sound like you?\nIn your future role as a Logistics Specialist II, you will\nCompletion of the daily modal logistics activities including shipment planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for assigned respective mode of transport in alignment with cost and service target. Perform all transportation planning, executing, and monitoring for domestic road transportation according to defined processes and targets. \nConduct transportation planning activities including capacity planning, shipment and fleet planning, carrier selection, routing, scheduling, tendering, and load building. \nComplete shipping documentation and coordinate with site logistics to execute shipments and gather necessary documentation. \nMonitor shipments and resolve exceptions as they arise. \nTrack and monitor logistics provider, customer, and organization logistics KPIs and cost performance. \nSupport freight cost payment, management, and invoicing. \nMaintain relationships with logistics providers and support Road Logistics Supervisor in conducting carrier performance reviews. \nIdentify frequency and cause of service failures and work with Road Logistics to develop plans to identify solutions. \nSupport acquisition of road transport capacity including spot booking. \nSupport process improvement efforts as directed by the Road Logistics Supervisor. \nLead model Nouryon Values to always include driving code of conduct compliance. \nDependent on the volume of shipments, the Logistics Specialist may be assigned tasks to support other modes than the assigned main mode as well. \nTravel as needed to visit Nouryon sites, and carrier terminals. \nPossess considerable knowledge of INCOTERMS, documentation and cross border transportation requirements. \nWilling to work after-hours to support 24-7 sites\nWe believe you are\nExperienced in analysis utilizing multiple software’s such as Excel/PowerBI/Tableau. \nAble to use data to support decision making and develop solutions to present to leaders. \nOutstanding in communication skills and ability to communicate with various levels and functions within the organization, including global team members and third parties. \nAble to support process improvement initiatives while balancing daily responsibilities. \nSelf-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. \nWe believe you bring\nBachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field from 4-year accredited college or university preferred.\nMinimum 3 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain. \nExperience with chemical companies is preferred. \nDemonstrated knowledge in performing logistics activities. \nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and quickly develop a solution. \nExperience with carrier relationship management and performance evaluations. \nStrong understanding of the domestic road transport market. \nStrong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (SAP, TMS, WMS) and to general business management (MS Excel, Word). \nExperience with Export Declaration is a plus.\nGood to know\nPlease apply via our online recruitment system.
