Does that sound like you?\nAbout the job\nAs a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and architecture of our enterprise data platform, ensuring it is scalable, efficient, and ready to enable advanced AI workloads (GenAI/RAG).\nIn your future role as Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will:\nDesign and deliver governed data products, establishing clear ownership, SLAs, and data contracts across the organization.\nLead platform strategy, making critical architectural decisions, selecting technologies, and setting enterprise-scale engineering standards.\nImplement real-time data pipelines using Eventstream or Event Hubs, and optimize transformation logic using Delta Live Tables, dbt, or Fabric Notebooks.\nDefine DataOps and automation standards, establishing CI/CD processes via Azure DevOps, Databricks Asset Bundles, and automated testing frameworks.\nEnable the platform for Artificial Intelligence, providing high-quality, AI-ready data for ML, RAG, and AI agents, integrating technologies such as Palantir Foundry and Fabric/Databricks.\nEnsure governance and observability, implementing automated data quality controls, data lineage via Purview/Unity Catalog, and proactive monitoring of costs and performance.\nWe believe you bring\n Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred).\nExperience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, platforms, or data architecture, with 3-5 years at a senior/principal technical level owning strategy at an enterprise scale.\n Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and transformation languages (dbt, SQL, Python/Scala).\nProject Leadership: Proven ability to lead complex, multi-workstream data platform projects end-to-end across engineering, analytics, IT, and business teams.\nLanguage: Professional proficiency in English for global collaboration.\nGreat if you have:\nAdditional technical experience in applied AI tools and ontology management.\nRelevant certifications in Microsoft Azure data platforms.\nWe believe you are...\nA technically minded leader with strategic vision, capable of transforming complex business needs into scalable and robust data architectures.\nA results-oriented Engineer who prioritizes efficiency, cost control, and automation in every engineering layer.\nA natural collaborator who can influence and guide multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic, international environment.\nWe offer you\nAt Nouryon, we provide a job with purpose, friendly coworkers, and benefits that go beyond salary.
