Does that sound like you?\nAbout the job:\nNurture and Grow Packaging segment business by\n1. Be the region’s focal point for product and application requests from customers 35%\n2. Develop and execute the Packaging segment business strategy for APAC region 30%\n3. Supply Packaging application knowledge to enable our customers to grow 15%\n4. Maintain good technical relationship with the customers 10%\n5. Act as interface between regional sales organization, marketing, RD&I and Production 10%\nIn your future role as a Technical Sales Engineer you will:\n· Understand Nouryon’s product portfolio offerings in the Packaging segment and value propositions, such as microsphere, Levasil, chelates, CMC, etc.,\n· Deep understanding of technical knowhow in the pulp & paper industry value chain\n· Support sales and marketing team to develop strategies for packaging segment in the APAC region\n· Handle application questions and technical discussions with regional customers, with focus on operational support and existing application refinement/optimization.\n· Maintain regional technical support/relationship with (key) customers and distributors and run development projects together with them with a clear focus on creating and safeguarding short to mid-term sales.\n· Support account managers in developing sales opportunities and converting them into real sales.\n· Responsible for local execution and enablement of applications and solutions.\n· While the focus is mostly Regional, need to share information and gained insights on a global level (e.g. with Technical Development Managers (TDM) and Market Segment Leads).\n· Lead investigations and resolutions of customer complaints in the region.\n· Maintain close contact with ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) stakeholders.\n· Grow technical competence through participation in trade shows, courses and seminars relevant to the region.\n· Develop and maintain contacts with technical staff of key customers.\n· Run development projects and activities together with customers.\n· Initiate lab work requests.\nWe believe you bring:\n· MSc or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical engineering or Materials Science.\n· Solid background in the pulp and paper industry\n· Service and customer driven.\n· Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.\n· Good analytical skills.\n· Problem solving attitude.
