This hands-on role involves close collaboration with shop-floor staff, engineering, and manufacturing groups, with clear pathways for career progression and personal development.\n Develop and maintain offline CNC programs using Edgecam to support turning, milling and horizontal boring operations.\nProvide hands-on technical support to the workshop and resolve manufacturing and machining challenges.\nDevelop, evaluate and improve machining methods, tooling and manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality and production performance.\nMonitor machining performance and identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve workshop efficiency.\nEvaluate and introduce appropriate developments in machining technology, tooling and manufacturing methods.\nCreate and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent and standardized manufacturing processes.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and other relevant teams to support efficient production and resolve technical issues.\nIdentify and escalate technical or manufacturing risks early, supporting effective resolution and continuity of production.\n Must-Have\nPractical experience in CNC machining, including relevant experience across turning, milling and horizontal boring.\nExperience using CAD/CAM programming software within a CNC manufacturing environment.\nEngineering apprenticeship or equivalent relevant engineering/manufacturing qualification.\nAbility to understand machining processes, manufacturing methods, tooling and relevant engineering information.\nAbility to work independently on technical activities while collaborating effectively with manufacturing and shop-floor teams.\nWillingness and ability to work the required rotating shift pattern of two weeks on days followed by one week on nights.\nPreferred\nExperience using Edgecam for offline CNC programming.\nExperience with current machining tooling, technologies and manufacturing methods.\nExperience applying continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.\nExperience with job-costing analysis.\nExperience with Flexible Pipe End Fittings or a comparable manufacturing environment.\nDegree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering
