You will be a crucial collaborator to implementing and control efficiency, effective forward and reverse flow of goods between the point of origin and the point of consumption to meet both the business’ and customers’ requirements. You will utilize your specific packaging experience to continually improve team performance and effectiveness.\nSupport daily crating and shipping operations by preparing, labeling, weighing, and documenting orders for dispatch.\nMaintain a productive, orderly and clean work environment.\nInterface professionally with multiple departments: Sales, Service, Assembly, Shipping, Receiving, Document Control, and Quality.\nTag equipment according to assembly pre-stamping procedure.\nPrepare shipments including boxing, weighing, labelling and consolidating order lines if possible.\nSubmit prepared material and proper paperwork to the shipper for actual dispatch to the customer.\nNotify appropriate departments of any discrepancies and/or problems with material.\nOperate the warehouse or crating machinery in a safe manner and reporting any equipment maintenance or problems to your immediate supervisor.\nOrder supplies needed to keep up with all packaging needs.\nAssist with shipping, receiving, and order pulling when required.\nEnsure all international crates meet the IPPC standards and document the amount of wood used. \nFollow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and programs; use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.\nResolve problems through collaboration and sharing with their teammates. \nAssist in mentoring and training of future crating personnel.\nPerform other work-related duties as assigned.\nForklift experience preferred\n High school diploma or GED, preferred.\nMinimum of two years related work experience required.\nExceptional carpentry skill or willingness to be trained to achieve necessary skills. \nExceptional ability to manage own time when performing a job. \nAble to follow customer packaging requirements specified on the order.\nAble to use MRP system to prepare paperwork to turn into shipping.\nGood computer skills.\nAble to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours or more.\nAble to work extra hours daily and on weekends as required.\nAble to pass a background check, physical and drug test.\nCOMPETITIVE BENEFITS: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)\n401(k) Retirement Plan - NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.\nCompetitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
