As part of the Digital Services Surface Engineering team, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development, integration, commercialization, and lifecycle support of industrial measurement, sensing, data acquisition, gas detection, and control systems. This position offers opportunities to work on embedded electronics, sensors, communications, hazardous-area products, and integrated hardware/software solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop and commercialize electrical and electromechanical products from concept through production release.\nDefine system architecture and integrate hardware, software, controls, sensors, communication interfaces, and mechanical subsystems into complete operational solutions.\nDevelop, test, and debug embedded firmware and support hardware/software integration activities.\nCreate and execute verification and validation plans, including laboratory and field testing.\nSupport product certification efforts for hazardous locations, EMC, electrical safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and project teams to support product launches and ongoing product improvements.\nProvide sustaining engineering support through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, reliability improvements, corrective actions, and component obsolescence management.\nResearch emerging technologies and evaluate new design approaches to improve product performance, reliability, and competitiveness.\nRequired Qualifications and Competencies\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.\nFirmware development experience using C/C++ and embedded systems.\nExperience with sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, and industrial control systems.\nFamiliarity with Modbus, CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, or similar industrial communication protocols.\nStrong troubleshooting, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting hazardous locations or other certification
