You will oversee engineering design, development, and project completion throughout the product lifecycle, from tender through execution.\nYou will manage engineering risks and coordinate solutions across Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Planning, and Manufacturing, while ensuring that customer specifications and applicable standards are properly addressed.\nWorking in a multidisciplinary and international environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Rio de Janeiro, Açu, and Brøndby.\n Key Responsibilities:\nAs Engineering Manager - Pipe System Design, you will be responsible for:\nLeading the day-to-day activities of the PSD project execution team, ensuring timely and effective delivery of the assigned project portfolio;\nLeading, supporting, and developing an experienced team of pipe and system design engineers;\nPlanning and managing engineering scope, resources, priorities, deliverables, and project milestones;\nAttending project meetings and providing the necessary technical support, information, and decisions to the team and other project stakeholders;\nTracking project deliverables, risks, resources, and milestones in collaboration with Project Managers, Technical Managers, Engineering Managers, Engineering Leaders, and other relevant stakeholders;\nOverseeing and participating in internal design activities, technical reviews, and engineering assurance activities for projects in execution;\nManaging engineering risks and coordinating solutions across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project Execution;\nEnsuring that engineering design and documentation comply with customer specifications and applicable standards;\nReviewing and approving design documentation;\nSupporting technical developments and improvements through applicable group charter activities when specifically designated;\nPromoting and supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering efficiency and quality;\nMaintaining close day-to-day coordination with the PSD Engineering Manager in Açu, ensuring clear accountability and effective interfaces between project execution, local manufacturing support, FEED and conceptual studies, Sales Engineering, and after-sales activities;\nLeading or coordinating customer interactions related to Pipe System Design together with the wider project team;\nPreparing technical documentation, as required, based on input from customers and other Engineering teams;\nExercising sound engineering judgment and effectively challenging complex technical matters;\nCommunicating effectively with customers and multidisciplinary teams, including factory operations, engineers, and specialists from international backgrounds;\nTraveling as required to support projects, customer engagements, coordination with the Açu factory and site, global PSD collaboration, and other business needs.\nQualifications & Experience:\nWe are looking for a technical professional with strong leadership and management capabilities, combined with relevant engineering experience.\nWe expect you to have:\n- A degree in Engineering;\n- Strong technical experience in flexible pipe system design engineering or a similar engineering field;\n- Proven people-management and leadership skills;\n- Experience in project management activities, including planning, scope breakdown, resource estimation, prioritization, and milestone management;\n- Ability to plan resources and lead the execution of a complex portfolio of engineering projects;\n- Experience with engineering design activities, technical reviews, design documentation, and engineering assurance;\n- A broad technical background with the ability to exercise sound engineering judgment and challenge complex technical matters;\n- Strong technical responsibility and the ability to understand the drivers, risks, and consequences associated with engineering decisions;\n- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, project teams, factory operations, engineers, and specialists from different cultural and professional backgrounds;\n- High level of English proficiency, both written and spoken, for effective communication within our global organization;\n- A self-driven and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage priorities and solve technical and organizational challenges;\n- Willingness to travel according to project and business requirements.\nIt will be considered an advantage if you have:\n- Experience in the design of unbonded flexible pipe systems, or closely related engineering experience.\nWho You Are\nYou have a strong sense of technical responsibility and are comfortable making sound assessments while understanding the drivers, risks, and consequences of your decisions.\nYou are self-driven, communicate clearly, and naturally motivate and lead others.
