This role will troubleshoot and repair drilling equipment in the Odessa area. NOV is a unique and special organization because of its outstanding employees, come join the NOV Family!\n Interface with relevant departments to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated and problems are resolved in a timely manner.\nTravel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.\nPerform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate the system.\nCommunicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.\nComplete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.\nPerform other work-related tasks as assigned.\nComply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.\nFACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES\nInstall, commission, troubleshoot, and repair drilling equipment.\nProvide training to other NOV Field Service Technicians.\nProvide accurate and timely reports to appropriate personnel regarding work progress and output.\nWork in repair shop when needed.Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.\n\nValid Driver’s license required - as you will be operating a company vehicle.\nMust obtain NOV corporate credit card and maintain an active status per NOV credit card policy.\nOvertime will be required - must be willing & able to work nights, weekend, and on-call 24/7.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics required.\nAbility to utilize various electrical diagnostic tools including multimeters, oscilloscope, and basic hand tools required.\nAbility to interact effectively with customer and contractor personnel.\nAttention to detail and a commitment to quality.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nAble to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently. \nWillingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.\nMust be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.\nAbility to meet or exceed standards as established by the department.\nAbility to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.\nWork in harsh environments including rain, snow, heat, and heights in excess of 150 feet.\nMust possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMicrosoft Office knowledge is required.\nAbility to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and basic electrical drawings required.\nMinimum 3-5 years mechanical experience required.\nWorking knowledge of rig floor equipment preferred, including Top Drives and Iron Rough Necks preferred\nWorking knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics required\nWorking knowledge of electrical required\nCOMPETITIVE BENEFITS: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)\n401(k) Retirement Plan - NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.\nCompetitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
