This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, and key suppliers to enhance supplier capability, reduce risk, and enable sustainable operational excellence.\nThe position requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and hands-on experience in supplier development, continuous improvement, and cost optimization within a global manufacturing environment.\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES\nGlobal Strategy & Governance\nDevelop and implement the global supplier quality and development strategy aligned with company objectives\nDefine and standardize global supplier qualification, audit, and performance monitoring frameworks.\nEstablish enterprise-level policies, procedures, and governance models for supplier quality and development.\nProvide functional guidance and alignment across regions while enabling local execution.\nLead global KPI structure and reporting cadence for supplier performance.\nSupplier Quality Leadership\nSupport regional teams in conducting supplier audits (QMS, process, and technical capability assessments).\nEnsure consistent application of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CAPA) methodologies.\nPromote adherence to company quality standards and applicable industry requirements.\nServe as escalation point for critical supplier quality issues requiring enterprise visibility.\nSupplier Development & Capability Building\nPartner with strategic suppliers to strengthen process capability, quality systems, and operational performance.\nChampion supplier improvement initiatives focused on:\nReducing defect rates and non-conformance\nImproving on-time delivery\nEnhancing process stability and repeatability\nSupport the deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nOversee development of standardized supplier scorecards and performance dashboards.\nCost Reduction & Lead Time Optimization\nCollaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and regional Supplier Development leaders to identify cost-reduction opportunities.\nEnable value engineering and design-for-manufacturability initiatives. \nSupport alternate sourcing and supplier localization strategies.\nDrive structured lead time reduction initiatives through process mapping, bottleneck identification, and capacity assessment.\nProvide visibility to executive leadership on cost, lead time, and risk trends.\nEnterprise Supplier Risk & Performance Management\nEstablish and maintain a global supplier risk management framework.\nDefine enterprise-level KPIs for quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.\nImplement standardized supplier performance review processes across regions.\nMonitor supply risk trends and coordinate mitigation strategies with regional teams.\nLead containment strategy alignment for high-impact supplier disruptions.\nProvide executive-level reporting and insights on supplier health and risk exposure.\nNew Product & Technology Readiness\nAlign early supplier engagement strategies for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.\nEnsure consistent APQP and PPAP governance standards across regions.\nSupport assessment of supplier readiness for new technologies and complex components.\nPromote proactive risk mitigation planning for product launches.\nLeadership & Global Collaboration\nProvide functional leadership to global Supplier Quality and Development teams.\nFoster knowledge sharing and best-practice standardization across regions.\nWork cross-functionally with:\nGlobal Supply Chain\nEngineering\nManufacturing\nOperations\nRepresent the Supplier Quality & Development function in executive reviews and strategic planning sessions. \nBuild organizational capability through coaching, alignment, and continuous improvement.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (Master’s preferred).\n10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, or global manufacturing environment.\nPrevious oil & gas industry experience preferred\nDemonstrated experience leading managers and senior professionals across multi-site or global operations.\nProven experience defining and implementing enterprise-level supplier quality governance frameworks.\nExperience driving organizational and process transformation initiatives in complex environments.\nStrong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and APQP / PPAP methodologies.\nDemonstrated success delivering measurable improvements in quality, cost, and lead time at enterprise scale.\nExperience developing supplier risk management and performance governance models.\nDemonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and align cross-functional stakeholders.\nCompetitive Benefits: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)\n401(k) Retirement Plan -
