You will play a key role in developing and optimizing the process control philosophy during the engineering phase, ensuring robust, safe, and efficient operations.\nThe primary location for this role is Oslo (Fornebu), Norway, but we also welcome candidates based elsewhere in Europe, particularly inthe UK, Italy, and France.\nWhat We Offer\nAutonomy & influence - shape standards, solutions, and ways of working \nProject exposure - contribute to major long-term projects\nGrowth potential - opportunity to expand scope over time \nHands-on engineering environment - from concept to startup and troubleshooting\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, implement, and optimize process control strategies for oil and gas production and processing facilities\nPrepare and maintain process control documentation, including control narratives, Cause & Effect charts, and P&IDs\nAct as a checker for SCDs and logic diagrams produced by others\nSupport facility startups, shutdowns, and commissioning activities\nSupport process safety initiatives, including alarm management, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and HAZOP recommendations\nEnsure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company safety policies\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives\nCollaborate with suppliers and clients on the development of documentation to ensure robust process control systems are in place\nAct as a link between the Process Engineering team and the Instrumentation team\nQualifications & Skills\nEssential Qualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related engineering discipline\n8-15 years of experience in process engineering and process control in oil & gas\nSolid understanding of process control principles and PID loop tuning, with a strong emphasis on overall system behavior and understanding\nUnderstanding of how process properties influence process control\nFluent in English\nDesired Qualifications:\nAbility to analyze and discuss process control challenges, including evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of different solutions\nExperience troubleshooting production systems such as MEG, TEG, PWT, and water injection is an advantage\nExperience with non-continuous processes (e.g., filtration or centrifugation) and their integration with continuous systems such as MEG units is an advantage\nSoft skills\nProactive and independent mindset \nStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and responsibility for outcomes\nCurious, innovative, and solution-oriented \nWhy Join Us?\nJoin our Global Family:\nWe offer an inspiring place to work with great opportunities to develop your skills and the opportunity to work with the brightest minds in the oil and gas industry.
