This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate who can perform structural CAD drawings experience and an interest in structural engineering, forensic investigations, and building assessment .\nPrevious NDT or forensic engineering experience is not required. We will train! Candidates with a background in construction materials testing (CMT), structural drafting, engineering technology, or a related field are encouraged to apply as long as they can also perform structural CAD drawings.\nThe individual will be responsible for the following:\nPerforming field inspections, sampling, and testing of distressed structures and existing buildings\nAssisting with non-destructive testing of construction materials, ground penetrating radar (GPR) scans, concrete coring, and structural surveys\nPreparing structural CAD drawings, sketches, plans, details, and other technical exhibits using AutoCAD\nTranslating field measurements, inspection findings, and existing conditions into accurate CAD drawings\nPreparing technical reports and supporting documentation\nAssisting with client communication and project coordination\nProviding assistance to other NOVA team members to support the overall objectives of the company\nAt NOVA, it doesn't have to be just a job. NOVA also offers a Credential Incentive Program that rewards employees for earning applicable certifications throughout their careers.\nQualifications:\nExperience using AutoCAD and the ability to perform structural CAD drawings is required\nAbility to prepare structural CAD drawings, details, plans, and sketches is required\nEntry-level candidates with structural AutoCAD experience are encouraged to apply\nAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Drafting/CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred\n0-2+ years of construction, CMT, engineering, inspection, or structural drafting experience preferred\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, structural plans, and technical documents preferred\nEffective English communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing\nAbility to routinely lift 40-50 lbs. of field/laboratory samples and equipment\nWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
