With over twelve commercial cottages at over 18,000 square feet each, the MinnWest Technology Campus has a wide variety of space that can be remodeled to suit each company’s unique staff, technology and workflow needs.\nWhatwe’relooking for:\nLead and coordinate daily maintenance operations across approximately 20 commercial buildings, providing technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance staff.\nPrioritize work orders and projects based on safety, business needs, and tenant priorities.\nDevelop and maintain preventative maintenance programs, long-term facility plans, and capital replacement plans.\nMonitor building systems and proactively identify maintenance needs, including boilers, HVAC, pool systems, and other critical infrastructure.\nProvide responsive, professional service to tenants and ensure maintenance requests are completed efficiently with minimal disruption.\nCoordinate contractors, suppliers, and service providers, including scheduling, project oversight, and quality of completed work.\nMaintain a safe, clean, attractive, and well-maintained campus, including grounds, parking areas, landscaping, and building exteriors.\nPromote safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable building, fire, and environmental regulations.\nTroubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building system issues and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\nOversee the maintenance, inspection, repair, and safe operation of campus vehicles and equipment.\nManage maintenance inventory, critical parts, equipment, and facility assets to support operational needs and long-term planning.\nParticipate in the on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies as needed.\nWhatyou’lldo:\nThe Lead Campus Maintenance Technician oversees the day-to-day maintenance, appearance, and operational reliability of a multi-building commercial campus. This role serves as the technical leader of the maintenance team, providing guidance, troubleshooting expertise, and long-term planning to ensure facilities remain safe, attractive, and operating efficiently. The role requires a hands-on leader who balances preventive maintenance, tenant service, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement.\nOther key areas include:\n5+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facility management, property management, or a related field.\nValid driver’s license and ability to be insured.\nHVAC, boiler, plumbing, or pool maintenance certifications/licensures preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and general maintenance.\nAbility to diagnose complex facility issues and develop effective solutions.\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor and collaborate with others.\nExcellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple facilities and competing demands.\nAbility to effectively coordinate and work with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, inventories, and schedules.\nResults-oriented approach with a commitment to quality service, safety, professionalism, and ethical conduct.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to a variety of facility and business needs.\nOur location:\nIn 2005, Nova-Tech Engineering and Life-Science Innovations partnered to buy a 37-building, 110-acre historic hospital facility in Willmar from the State of Minnesota.
