Responsibilities\nSource and procure mechanical, fabricated, machined, welding, gas system, vacuum, fittings, valves, tubing, and other industrial components.\nManage the full procurement cycle including RFQ, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, purchase order issuance, delivery follow-up, and supplier performance monitoring.\nDevelop and maintain reliable supplier base to support production, maintenance, and project activities.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change activities by identifying qualified suppliers and ensuring timely material readiness.\nWork closely with Engineering and Production teams to review material specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.\nNegotiate pricing, lead time, payment terms, and commercial agreements to achieve cost savings and supply continuity.\nMonitor material shortages and coordinate recovery plans to minimize operational impact.\nConduct supplier evaluations and support supplier quality and performance improvement initiatives.\nMaintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, and procurement documentation in theERP system.\nMonitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to support purchasing strategies.\nProvide regular updates to the Engineering Director on sourcing status, supplier performance, cost-saving initiatives, and delivery commitments.\nPerform any other ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor. \n\nRequirements\nDiploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMinimum 3 years of relevant purchasing or sourcing experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, industrial equipment, or related industries.\nFamiliar with sourcing mechanical parts, fabrication items, welding consumables, gas system components, fittings, valves, tubing, and industrial hardware.\nPossess strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills with established industry resources and contacts.\nAble to interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.\nFamiliar with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.\nGood communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.\nAble to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability in supporting a newly established welding operation.\nWilling to work at East Region, Changi North Crescent
