#28310-MH)\nThe College is seeking one (1) Asset Technician who will be\nresponsible for management of the physical assets at Madison College’s\nTechnology Services hardware depot.Responsibilities of the position include tracking orders within the\nasset management system, assigning identification numbers and barcode tags to\neach item upon delivery and scheduling the distribution and installation of\norders.The individual in this position\nwill be responsible for maintaining a constant inventory of CPUs, printers,\nmonitors, docks, cables and all other associated repair and replacement parts\nand pieces.This position will assist\nin the maintenance of the district-wide strategy for replacing outdated\nhardware and software across all campus locations.The person in this position will be\nresponsible for effectively managing and documenting the process of\ndistribution and tracking of District assets.\nThis position participates in the\nallocation, setup and implementation of hardware, software and ancillary\ndevices throughout the district.This\nposition follows policies and monitors technology assets in accordance with IT\npolicies and standards and laws and regulations.Position will aide in responding to incident\ntickets / hardware maintenance requests and replacement of dysfunctional\nequipment.The person in this position\nwill aide in effectively managing and documenting the process of distribution and\ntracking of District assets.\nConsultant Title: Asset Technician\nESSENTIAL DUTIES:\n1.Provides inventory management services\nfor Technology Services assets throughout the Madison College District.\n2.Maintains an inventory management\nsystem for accurate tracking of all District technology assets.\n3.Maintains a consistent supply of\nhardware to include repair/replacement parts, CPU’s, printers, monitors,\ncables, docks, and all other equipment necessary to maintain the efficient\ntechnological functioning of all District locations.\n4.Maintains an orderly and organized\nstorage system for all technology services assets.\n5.Organizes and facilitates the removal\nof technology services assets from inventory.\n6.Maintains the order tracking system for\nall inbound technology services assets.\n7.Receives inbound shipments and assigns\nunique identification numbers to each item.Creates and affixes I.D. tag and bar code to all District assets.\n8.Enters unique I.D. tracking numbers\ninto inventory management system along with other pertinent use information.\n9.Maintains an in-depth knowledge of\nTechnology Services support products and services.\n10.Maintains a strong knowledge of the\nincident management system and reporting functionality.\nRequirements\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nKnowledge of:\n1.Demonstrated technical competence in a\ncustomer support environment, maintenance procedures and system capabilities\nand limitations.\n2.Demonstrated knowledge of manage multiple\npriorities and follow through on concurrent projects to successful completion.\n6.Ability to lift up to 40 pounds\nregularly.\n7.Ability to climb a 12-ft. ladder while\ncarrying and/or installing or troubleshooting equipment (i.e. projectors,\nbulbs, etc.)\nDemonstrated ability to:\n1.Define the problem and\nissues (for a request).\n2.Identify all parties\n(stakeholders).\n3.Perform the necessary root-cause\nanalysis.\n4.Maintain on-going\noperational/production support, including monitoring.\n5.Perform periodic reviews of\nthe process and provide feedback.\n6.Share lessons learned with\nteam for continuous improvement.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nFour\nyears (8,000 hours) related work experience to include at least two years (4,000\nhours) work experience performing asset management duties in a medium-to-large\nwork environment (500-2000
