As a Field Application Engineer with ATI Industrial Automation, a Novanta business, you’ll bring engineering expertise directly to customers-from evaluating an application and demonstrating a solution to troubleshooting its performance after installation.\nYour focus will be ATI’s Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines. Working alongside sales colleagues and customer teams, you’ll help identify opportunities, demonstrate what the technology can do, and support its use in robotic and automated manufacturing environments.\nThis is a remote, field-based position, supporting customers across the United States and Mexico. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred, with travel of up to 40%.\nPut your engineering expertise to work\nIn this role, you will:\nGuide customers through technical decisions. Provide product and application support throughout the pre-sale and post-sale process.\nBring technical depth to customer visits. Partner with sales personnel to identify opportunities, evaluate customer needs, and help close sales through engineering expertise and product knowledge.\nShow solutions in action. Develop and deliver robot-based product demonstrations and technical presentations at customer sites, tradeshows, and conferences.\nExplore new applications. Create novel uses for ATI products with robots, then share those applications through videos and application notes.\nResolve technical challenges. Troubleshoot product and application issues and provide timely, practical solutions.\nMaintain clear support records. Use Salesforce to manage customer cases and support activities.\nHelp improve products and processes. Contribute customer insights and engineering ideas to continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat you’ll bring\nA bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nFluency in Spanish and English.\nThree to five years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in the automation industry.\nA strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.\nExperience with SolidWorks and the Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.\nCommunication and interpersonal skills that help you work effectively with customers and colleagues.\nAbout ATI Industrial Automation\nATI develops robotic end-of-arm technologies that help customers improve the productivity and flexibility of automated systems.
