If you are energized by solving complex challenges and creating lasting impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we would love to hear from you.Job Description\nLocation:\nThis position will be located in Durham, NC and will be an onsite role.\nNovartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead and develop a high-performing Manufacturing Technical Support team supporting GMP production operations.\nProvide technical oversight and troubleshooting to resolve complex manufacturing and process challenges.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.\nPartner with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other functions to achieve production objectives.\nEnsure timely investigation of deviations and implementation of effective CAPA activities.\nSupport change control activities and assess manufacturing impact of process or equipment changes.\nMonitor process performance data and identify opportunities for reliability and productivity improvements.\nOversee creation, review, and approval of GMP documentation, SOPs, and manufacturing records.\nBuild team capabilities through coaching, training, performance management, and employee development.\nMaintain inspection readiness and ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and company quality standards.\nEssential Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.\nMinimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or chemical manufacturing environments.\nDemonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and developing high-performing employees.\nStrong knowledge of GMP regulations and FDA requirements within a manufacturing setting.\nExperience leading deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.\nProven ability to support manufacturing operations and resolve complex technical challenges.\nExperience collaborating across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain functions.\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced regulated environment.\nNovartis Compensation and Benefit Summary:\nThe salary for this position is expected to range between $108,500 and $201,500 annually\nThe final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.\nYour compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.\nUS-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits.
