The 3-month program (01 June to 31 August 2027), hosted at the Novartis research site in Basel, Switzerland, is designed to foster both their scientific and professional development. Novartis will provide a monthly stipend to cover incidentals and basic living expenses. Guided by Novartis mentors, the interns work on a jointly, agreed-upon scientific, clinical research or global health project and participate in a leadership development program. Research projects expose selected scientists to state-of-the-art methodologies and leading experts in their fields, whilst ensuring that the knowledge and expertise gained can be applied within their home institutions.Job Description\nMinimum requirements:\nEnrolled at university as MSc, PhD or MD student in a geography of scope (low- and middle-income country)\nActive participation in all program and training activities expected\nAdvanced verbal and written English communication skills\nAbility to work independently and in groups\nTime management and good organizational skills\nResearch Area:\nPreferred field of studies are across a wide range of Novartis therapeutic and functional areas, including translational science, clinical development, and global health. \nTherapeutic areas include, but are not limited to: Cardiovascular diseases, oncology (breast and prostate cancer), infectious diseases (malaria, dengue, cryptosporidiosis, leishmaniasis, Chagas disease leprosy), sickle cell disease\nFunctional areas include, but are not limited to:Drug discovery and clinical research, clinical operations, bioinformatics, data analytics and AI, patient engagement/advocacy, global
