Novartis is unable to offer relocation support for this role: please only apply if this location is accessible for you.\nAbout the Role:\nAs an OT Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the integration of shop floor equipment with IT and OT systems across various domains. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient flow of data from the shop floor to the enterprise level.\nWorking alongside a team of experts, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the necessary middleware setup to facilitate data transfer. This will involve defining data points based on specific business requirements and industry best practices. In addition, you will oversee the configuration of end-to-end interfaces and conduct thorough interface qualification processes. Your goal will be to establish and maintain operational stability throughout the integration process.\nYour role will be instrumental in enabling the effective integration of shop floor equipment with IT and OT systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data availability at the enterprise level.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nResponsible for detailed design, development, delivery and qualification of IT/OT system solutions and their integration for a given project / use case, in alignment defined solution architecture, and create the detailed process designs necessary to operate the solution on a day-to-day basis.\nExecute project related activities in accordance with the lifecycle, budget, schedule and compliance requirements.\nCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical solutions to manufacturing sites.\nEnsure designs produced adhere to solution architectural design, roadmap and support the development, execution and operations of software/service\nFacilitate peer reviews and obtain business sign-off for detailed designs.\nConsider the overall user experience when designing and implementing solutions and services.\nTake accountability for adhering to Security and Compliance policies.\nSupport internal and external audits, if necessary.\nMaintain stable operations for implemented global IT/OT solutions\nContribute relevant inputs to the business case development process.\nEssential Requirements:\n5+ years of technical experience in delivering global solutions to the customers, preferably in the aera of automation engineering in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.\nKnowledge of state of the art IT/OT infrastructures and architectures, IT/OT applications & tools.\nKnowledge of automation technologies and software platforms (e.g. SCADA, Historian, MES).\nKnowledge of industry standards and protocols for communication and data exchange in manufacturing operations (e.g. OPC, MQTT).\nUnderstanding of manufacturing operations and processes, with strong ability to leverage digital technology / big data.\nExcellent communication skills in English and Italian, with strong collaboration skills across boundaries and a curious mindset.\nDesirable requirements:\nWorking experience in a GxP environment.\nExperience in robotics.\nBenefits & Rewards\nAt Novartis, we’re committed to reimagining medicine together - and rewarding the people who make it happen.\nExpected Annual Base Salary Range for role: € 45,300 to € 84,100\nThe base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.\nIn addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.\nThe rewards of being part of our team go far beyond base pay and incentives.
