Job Description

Major Accountabilities:

• Lead Quality Control Chemistry operations, ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice standards.
• Ensure timely testing and release support for incoming samples and laboratory activities.
• Develop, coach, and inspire team members to achieve high performance and continuous growth.
• Drive a strong quality culture and promote Novartis Values and Behaviors across the team.
• Oversee budget planning, resource allocation, and financial performance within the department.
• Maintain audit readiness and lead responses to inspections, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Champion laboratory safety, environmental responsibility, and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and support successful new product launches.

Obligatory Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a regulated quality environment.
• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Laboratory Practice requirements.
• Proven people leadership experience with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: EUR 76,900 - 142,900.

The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
