NovaSource’s expertise extends beyond solar and includes battery energy storage systems (BESS), offering a complete suite of services for the evolving renewable energy landscape.\nSummary\nThe Controller role will report to the Vice President of Corporate Finance and oversee theaccounting operations. This role will work with Finance and other business leaders to develop and implement robust processes for a fast-growing organization.\nDuties and Responsibilities :\nOrganize and facilitate the monthly closing process to meet corporate deadlines.\nResponsible for ERP (MSD 365 Business Central) environment to ensure efficient processes and timely data output; customize and support internal reporting needs, recommend, and implement processes improvements or enhancements.\nEnsure accurate revenue recognition and cost accruals.\nEnsure completion of all monthly account reconciliations\nDevelop and maintain process documentation for all accounting processes.\nWork with other NSPS subsidiaries to facilitate and reconcile intercompany transactions.\nCoordinate with Billing & Contracts team to ensure costs are recorded accurately and billings to customers are complete.\nCoordinate sales & use and property tax reporting and ensure compliance and timely filing.\nFind and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.\nParticipate in and/or coordinate external audits.\nRecommend and implement accuracy and productivity improvements for the accounting team, in coordination with group goals and objectives.\nRequirements :\nBS degree in accounting and 3+ years Controller experience in an operationalenvironment, CPA preferred.\n\nStrong ERP experience (MSD preferred); implementation experience a plus.\nDemonstrated experience in a global, multi-subsidiary organization.\nHands-on approach with strong technical accounting skills\nStrong experience in inventory management and controls\nDemonstrated experience leading a team of financial professionals, including experience in performance appraisals, goal setting and KPI tracking.\nExperience in solar/renewable industry or other energy services is a plus; M&Aexperience also preferred.\n\nStrong business acumen and ability to drive operational improvements.\nProficiency in Excel and MS Office applications.\nProficiency in PowerBi and Datarails a plus.\nA successful candidate must have the drive and desire to work in a dynamic environment.
