NovaSource’s expertise extends beyond solar and includes battery energy storage systems (BESS), offering a complete suite of services for the evolving renewable energy landscape.\nBasic Job Functions:\nResponsible for assigned aspects of the maintenance and operation of utility BESS power plant. Duties include monitoring Plant operation through SCADA, commissioning, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC systems, including inverters, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems. High voltage switching is an essential skill and part of the job.\nExperience:\n2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification. \nExperience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nCollege or technical degree preferred.\nElectrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc. a plus.\nEquivalent training in military, utility, or power industry a plus.\nPhysical Requirements:\nBending, kneeling, twisting, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, the ability to climb ladders, and wear PPE for extended periods of time. Ability to work in high and low temperatures, sun exposure, and navigate on uneven ground on foot.\nAbility to differentiate between different colors to manage color-coded wiring.\nGood hand-eye coordination.\nRequired Skills/Competencies:\nDemonstrated knowledge in electrical safety and arc flash standards.\nDemonstrated understanding of and ability to follow operating, switching, maintenance, safety and environmental procedures.\nDemonstrated experience in high voltage switching\nMust have a strong safety background with experience in Lockout Tag Out and Job Hazard Analysis.\nWorking knowledge of industrial or power facility operation and maintenance.\nKnowledge of local and national electrical codes. \nProficiency in reading and understanding Electrical schematics and prints. \nCapable of retrieving relay files and documentation. \nFully fluent in CMMS systems for maintenance tracking.\nProven computer skills in a Windows environment (Microsoft Office Products) is required.\nMust demonstrate the ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects.\nAbility to work independently with little to no direction within company compliance and work processes.\nValid Driver’s License. \nAbility to complete NovaSource Technician Qualification Standards successfully within 90 days of hire.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nPerform to quarterly key performance indicators, such as actual versus expected energy generation, on-time planned maintenance, and support overall plant and equipment efficiency.\nEnsure a safe work environment by promoting strict adherence to company protocols. \nResponsible for personal safety, quality and schedule adherence.\nComply with Job Hazard Analysis, Pre-Job Brief and Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures.\nWith supervision be responsible for a variety of PM work including measuring, reading, testing and performing maintenance procedures on all site components. \nCommunicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.\nAssist in planning and executing on-site projects, installations, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing. \nAssist with writing and enforcing work and equipment testing instructions and procedures, including normal and maintenance operating procedures. \nEnsure work orders are complete in their entirety.\nEnsure all documentation and required reports are reviewed, complete, submitted and filed. \nAttend, participate in and pass all assigned training in safety, environmental and other areas as assigned.\nMaintain work area and site housecleaning to 5S standards.\nVerify SCADA site configuration.\nAdhere to Company vehicle maintenance standards and safety standards.\nOther duties as assigned.\nReporting Relationships:\nWill report to most senior site manager or supervisor depending on site organizational structure.\nMay lead work groups and supervise plant evolutions.\nMay have tasks assigned by advanced technical staff.\nTravel:\nTravel will be required depending on the needs of the
