This role supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation by coordinating production schedules, inventory, logistics, and customer communication. The Production Scheduler will partner with Production, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain, and other teams to maintain product flow, improve inventory accuracy, and support timely customer delivery.\nResponsibilities\nPromote a safe working environment by following Novelis environmental, health, and safety standards, company policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.\nPerform production planning and scheduling activities in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation.\nPartner with the Shipping team to develop shipping schedules two to three days in advance.\nMonitor work-in-process inventory levels to identify potential material shortages and supply risks.\nConduct and support cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.\nSupport the setup and implementation of new items and product specifications.\nPrepare dashboards, performance reports, and statistical analyses to support planning and operational decisions.\nProvide coverage for Production and Logistics Planners as needed.\nCommunicate timely and accurate information to internal and external customers.\nParticipate in continuous improvement teams and support initiatives that improve efficiency, service, and operating performance.\nPerform planning and scheduling activities in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.\nComplete additional duties and projects assigned by the Supply Chain Leader.\nMinimum Qualifications\nAssociate degree in supply chain management, business, finance, industrial engineering, or a related field, or five to ten years of relevant experience.\nKnowledge of production planning and inventory control within a manufacturing environment.\nUnderstanding of supply chain management principles and production operations.\nProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, including experience with pivot tables and data conversion.\nAbility to use analytical, mathematical, and database tools to evaluate information and support business decisions.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and deliver timely results.\nAbility to work independently while recognizing when guidance or escalation is needed.\nAbility to communicate clearly, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate across teams.\nWillingness and ability to work a three-days-on, three-days-off rotating schedule during day-shift hours.\nPreferred Qualifications\nManufacturing production planning or scheduling experience.\nExperience with enterprise resource planning systems and production planning tools.\nAbility to learn new software and apply it to daily responsibilities and projects.\nExperience preparing functional requirements or specifications for information technology teams.\nExperience contributing to or leading cross-functional teams.\nDemonstrated customer-service orientation and ability to build productive working relationships.\nExperience collecting and analyzing data to identify practical solutions and recommend next steps.\nPlease note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification.
