The team is seeking an Electrical Technician intern that can join the team for approximately 10 to 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in meaningful work and gain hands on industry experience. The person in this role will report to the Associate EMRA Leader and will be gain experience in Electrical Technology in an manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities\nShadow and assist qualified electricians performing the following:Use specialized measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate equipment\nInspect for problems\nWork with wires using hand tools while handling small components\nRepair and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, storage batteries, switchboards, conductors, switches and varied electrical fixtures\nInstall, maintain and repair electrical, electromechanical, and electronic parts of machinery and equipment\nPerform defensive repair and preservation of field, plant and shop for electronic and electrical systems, equipment, and devices\nRead and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams\nPlan and prepare work orders or instructions utilizing blueprints, sketches, and drawings\n\nReceive training in electrical safety and other electrical/maintenance duties\nQualifications\nEnrolled in an accredited 2 year Electrical Technology program \nInterested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation\nEffective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization\nMust be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer\nPreferred Qualifications\nUse of basic hand tools\nComputer skills\nWhat Novelis Offers\nNovelis benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
