The team is seeking an Engineering Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience. The intern will report to the Engineering Leader and will gain experience with project management, CAD designing, and the implementation of various tools and pieces of equipment with a focus on the work management process.\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop improvement for general engineering processes\nUse CAD to design various tools/equipment and see through to implementation, if possible \nWork with outside contractors to scope/spec new, improved equipment for plant operations\nWork with cross-functional teams (Process, Operations, EHS, etc.) to develop new protocols pertaining to safety initiatives\nMinimum Qualifications:\nEnrolled in an accredited 4-year University.\nMust be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate. \nInterested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.\nEffective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization\nMust be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrefer students majoring in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering\nSolid business insight\nHigh interest in becoming an Engineer in a manufacturing environment\nStrong leadership and teamwork skills\nWhat We Offer:\nNovelis' benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
