Reporting to the Uhrichsville Supply Chain Lead, this role coordinates the accurate and timely shipment of finished goods and supports delivery communications and documentation. The Logistics Coordinator will collaborate with carriers, customers, Commercial, Account Management, Operations, and Logistics teams to support efficient, cost-effective freight activity while advancing our purpose of shaping a sustainable world together.\nResponsibilities\nSchedule finished-goods shipments based on available inventory, forecasts, and projected demand.\nCoordinate with freight carriers to schedule dock appointments and manage shipment adjustments and rescheduling.\nCheck in drivers, confirm assigned loads, and complete required internal and shipping documentation.\nPrepare packing lists, tally sheets, and bills of lading for truckload shipments.\nGroup and allocate finished material for shipment.\nIdentify and mark diverted coils within finished-goods inventory.\nAudit finished-goods overages and coordinate appropriate disposition.\nSupport load tendering, freight coverage, and dispatch activities.\nMonitor shipping performance measures and logistics-related key performance indicators.\nPartner with loaders to resolve shipment questions and loading issues.\nCollaborate with Production and Operations to move shipments efficiently and cost-effectively.\nCommunicate with Account Management and Commercial teams to support customer requirements.\nCoordinate with other Operations Coordinators, the Logistics Supervisor, and logistics leaders to support freight activity.\nDevelop productive working relationships with freight carriers and other external partners.\nUse Concast, Oracle, and transportation management systems to complete logistics activities.\nEvaluate alternative transportation methods for inbound materials and customer shipments.\nComplete additional duties and projects as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHS Diploma/GED\nAbility to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.\nAbility to evaluate issues, apply practical judgment, and identify appropriate solutions.\nAbility to organize detailed shipping information and maintain accurate documentation.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing transportation and customer requirements.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.\nAt least one year of experience in transportation services, transportation management, logistics, or customer service.\nExperience coordinating finished-goods shipments in a manufacturing or distribution environment.\nExperience working with freight carriers, dispatch activities, or dock scheduling.\nExperience using Oracle, Concast, a transportation management system, or comparable business systems.\nExperience preparing bills of lading, packing lists, tally sheets, or related shipping documentation.\nExperience monitoring shipping metrics or logistics performance indicators.\nPlease note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification.
