Position Overview
Novelis Oswego has an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator! The successful candidate must have a complete knowledge of the various welding, cutting, and fabrication operations. These may include but are not limited to: pipe welding, silver soldering, spray welding, electric ARC, heli ARC, acetylene cutting, scarfing operations, brazing and soldering, layout, mig/tig welding, use of brake, press, roller, burning table and other related equipment. The ability to share information with coworkers is also a must. The successful candidate must also have a strong attention to detail as well.
Responsibilities
- Utilize various welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques including:
- Pipe welding
- MIG/TIG Welding
- Silver soldering
- Spray welding
- Electric ARC / heli ARC
- Acetylene cutting
- Scarfing operations
- Brazing and soldering
- Familiar use of brake, press, roller, burning table and other related equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints & sketches and build/modify as necessary
- Work cross-functionally with both peers in Engineering Maintenance and Operational departments to build/repair/modify equipment as necessary.
Qualifications
- Five years Fabrication experience or similar degree/certificate is required
- Proficiently read blueprints and sketches
- Follow both written and oral directions
- Must have strong attention to detail

For this role, the pay is from $40.50 USD / hour. Individual pay will vary based on qualifications, experience, and performance.
