What We Have To Offer:\nCompetitive Base\nMedical/Dental/Vision insurance on day 1 of employment\nHealth Saving Account (HSA) with Employer contribution\nEmployee Assistance Program\n401(k) retirement plan and match program\nLong Term Disability (Employer Paid)\nShort Term Disability (Employer Paid)\nPaid Time Off (eligible after 90 days of employment)\nSick Leave (eligible after 90 days of employment)\nCompany Paid Holidays\nDiversity\nAt Noveon Magnetics, we believe our diversity makes us who we are, and we strive every day to build a culture where everyone feels welcome.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nSystem Design & Modeling: Designing complete industrial cooling systems, HVAC equipment, and liquid cooling loops (water/glycol) using SolidWorks.\nStandards & Compliance: Applying ASME B31 codes (e.g., B31.1, B31.3, B31.5) and industry standards to ensure piping, valving, pressure vessels, and fluid delivery systems meet regulatory and safety requirements.\nCalculations & Optimization: Performing thermal, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and pressure drop calculations to size pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, and piping.\nEngineering Documentation: Generating detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), piping schematics (P&IDs), and assembly instructions.\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with controls teams, manufacturing, and procurement to bring designs from concept to manufacturing and commissioning.\nReporting: Reporting to Lead Mechanical Design Engineer\nWe are Looking for Someone Who:\nHas a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related engineering field.\nHas 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering. • Can demonstrate a proven track record designing industrial cooling systems, HVAC systems, or liquid cooling loops (e.g., pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, manifolds). • Possesses expert-level 3D CAD design and drawing creation using SolidWorks. • Possesses active Engineer in Training (EIT) / Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification.\nHas strong practical understanding and working knowledge of ASME B31 piping design codes.\nCan demonstrate a strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.\nPossesses a practical knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, sheet metal, machining, pipe fitting).\nDemonstrates high attention to detail with excellent communication and problem solving skills.\nIs able to manage multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred:\nExperience Level: 10+ years of progressive experience in thermal systems engineering or industrial fluid processing.\nLicensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain. • PE license in HVAC and Refrigeration or Thermal Fluid Systems is preferred. • Data Management: Proficiency with SolidWorks PDM for revision control, workflow management, and engineering document organization.\nSimulation & Analysis: Hands-on experience performing\nFEA (SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS Mechanical)\nCFD (ANSYS Fluent or similar)\nProcess Simulation (ProMax or similar)\nWork Environment:\nAble to move up to 15lbs.\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nCan wear PPE.\nComfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.• Is capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.\nAbout Noveon Magnetics\nAt Noveon Magnetics, we’re reimagining the rare earth magnet industry and changing the way we electrify the world.
