This position serves as a role to grow into an advanced operator role , supporting the qualified operators and Production Supervisor by providing daily operational assistance, learning troubleshooting and diagnostics, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards.\nWhat good is a job without great benefits to reward your hard work?\nWhat We Have To Offer:\nCompetitive Base\nMedical/Dental/Vision insurance on day 1 of employment \nHealth Saving Account (HSA) with Employer contribution\nEmployee Assistance Program\n401(k) retirement plan and match program\nLong Term Disability (Employer Paid)\nPaid Time Off (eligible after 90 days of employment) \nSick Leave\nCompany Paid Holidays \nDiversity\nAt Noveon Magnetics, we believe our diversity makes us who we are, and we strive every day to build a culture where everyone feels welcome.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nPress Operations & Technical Foundations\nLearn and assist in the setting up, operating, and optimizing magnet press equipment, including die alignment, pressure settings, and cycle times to meet required magnet properties.\nDeveloping a foundational understanding of press operation, powder handling, and compaction processes.\nLearning to monitor and identify issues such as uneven powder distribution, pressure fluctuations, or equipment malfunctions.\nTeamwork & Training\nReceiving work priorities and daily direction from the shift lead or supervisor.\nParticipating actively in training, coaching, and mentoring from senior Press Operators on standard work, safety requirements, quality expectations, and troubleshooting techniques. \nFocusing on skill development and mastering standard manufacturing work.\nCommunicating effectively with Operators, Team Lead, Production Supervisors, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to address issues and maintain production flow.\nQuality & Troubleshooting\nLearning to inspect pressed magnets for size, shape, density, and magnetic strength to ensure compliance with quality standards.\nDeveloping skills to make basic machine adjustments to maintain consistent quality and reduce scrap.\nLearning to diagnose/report common and complex press issues, including jams, misaligned dies, and pressure inconsistencies; escalate as needed.\nMaintenance & Documentation\nPerforming routine and preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of press components.\nAssisting Operators in the identifying wear or potential failures and coordinating timely repairs with Maintenance.\nMaintaining accurate production and quality records, including batch numbers, pressures, cycle times, and inspection results.\nSafety & Housekeeping\nModeling and enforcing adherence to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements and lockout/tagout procedures.\nMaintaining a clean, organized, and audit-ready press area.\nPromoting a strong safety culture and proactively addressing unsafe conditions or behaviors.\nWe are looking for someone who:\n• Has a High School Diploma or GED, required. Has 1 year of manufacturing experience, including press operation or similar precision equipment.\nCan exhibit a strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operation principles.\nCan read and interpret work instructions, technical specifications, and quality requirements.\nIf proficient in basic math related to measurements, pressures, and production quantities. \n• Has a strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent quality standards in a fast-paced environment. \n\nPhysical Requirements:\n• Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical, and any required vision testing.
