This role owns purchase order execution, supplier delivery performance, and inventory replenishment, translating production demand signals into timely, cost-effective procurement actions. The Procurement Lead also owns spend analytics and supplier performance reporting, manages structural supply risk for critical materials, and partners closely with production, planning, and accounts payable to maintain continuity of supply for raw materials, MRO, and indirect spend.\nThis role requires a rare combination of strategic thinking, technical fluency in rare earth and advanced materials markets, and hands-on procurement execution capability.\nWhat good is a job without great benefits to reward your hard work?\nWhat We Have To Offer:\nCompetitive Base\nMedical/Dental/Vision insurance on day 1 of employment\nHealth Saving Account (HSA) with Employer contribution\nEmployee Assistance Program\n401(k) retirement plan and match program\nLong Term Disability (Employer Paid)\nShort Term Disability (Employer Paid)\nPaid Time Off (eligible after 90 days of employment)\nSick Leave\nCompany Paid Holidays\nDiversity\nAt Noveon Magnetics, we believe our diversity makes us who we are, and we strive every day to build a culture where everyone feels welcome.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\nExecuting and managing purchase orders from requisition through receipt, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery dates.\nConverting demand and replenishment signals into timely buying actions to maintain target inventory and safety stock levels without overstocking.\nExpediting and de-expediting orders to align supply with shifting production schedules and resolve shortages, delays, and discrepancies.\nMonitoring and driving supplier delivery performance (OTIF), holding vendors accountable to committed lead times and quality requirements.\nOwning monthly spend analytics and supplier scorecard reporting, including savingspipeline tracking and procurement KPI reporting, and present insights to supply chain and finance leadership.\nDeveloping and maintaining supply risk-mitigation strategies, including assurance of supply, single-source risk reduction, alternative-supplier qualification, and exposure to tariff and critical-material availability.\nMonitoring market conditions and pricing for assigned categories, providing market intelligence to inform sourcing and inventory decisions for critical raw materials.\nResolving invoice, receipt, and PO discrepancies in partnership with Accounts Payable and Receiving.\nMaintaining accurate item master, vendor, pricing, and lead-time data in the ERP system.\nManaging MRO and indirect spend buying, identifying tactical cost-savings and consolidation opportunities.\nSupporting strategic sourcing initiatives by providing transactional data, spend analysis, and supplier performance input.\nEnsuring procurement activity complies with internal controls, approval authority matrices, and audit requirements.\nWe are looking for someone who:\nHas a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or a related field\nBrings 5+ years of progressive procurement and supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role\nHas a proven ability to negotiate complex, long-term supply agreements with significant dollar value\nPossesses strong financial acumen - comfortable with cost modeling, TCO analysis, and working capital trade-offs\nHas experience managing supply chains with geopolitical or regulatory complexity (ITAR, EAR, conflict minerals, country-of-origin requirements)\nCan demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and executive communication skills\nIs proficient in SAP S/4HANA, with hands-on experience configuring and maintaining MRP parameters\nPreferably:\nHas direct experience with rare earth, magnet, or advanced materials supply chains\nHas experience working with or selling to U.S. Department of Defense or government\nprime contractors\nHolds an MBA or advanced degree\nHolds APICS CSCP, ISM CPSM, or equivalent professional certification\nHas prior experience in a high-growth, private-equity or venture-backed\nmanufacturing environment\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk, phone use, and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift/move up to 15 pounds at times.\nAbility to wear required PPE when on production floor.\nAbout Noveon Magnetics\nAt Noveon Magnetics, we’re reimagining the rare earth magnet industry and changing the way we electrify the world.
