We are looking for exceptional individuals who want to learn, build, and lay a foundation for our company for the years to come.\nAbout this role\nAs a Quality Engineer (QE) you will, in general, support process improvement activities, reporting to the QEM. You will support data gathering, data analysis and statistical Process Control (SPC) activities and their coordination. It will also be part of your role to perform randomized quality control checks on parts and/or assemblies to ensure process stability of production and conformance to customer driven requirements. The QE may also be required to prepare test data, determine root cause, identify areas for quality and process improvement and support Design Of Experiment (DOE) activities.\nTo ensure success as a quality engineer, you should have a strong working knowledge of quality concepts, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal oversight.\nWhat good is a job without great benefits to reward your hard work? Lead CAPA activities as needed.\nMonitoring and updating productivity metrics. Supporting manufacturing by translating SPC and other quality data into actionable productivity and CI plans.\nEnsuring ongoing product quality and reporting concerns as they arise.\nWe are Looking for Someone Who:\nHas a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a science-related field. And has a minimum of 2-3 years in manufacturing or 5 years in QE functions.\nPossesses a working knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO9000, TS16949.\nHas excellent problem-solving ability with experience in tools like 8D, 5Why, DMAIC.\nPossesses Lean Six Sigma training and/or project management training.\nIs able to read and interpret drawings and supplemental specifications. Experience with GD&T is preferred.\nCan display a working knowledge of SPC and inferential and descriptive statistics for manufacturing.\nUnderstands the statistical methods of DOE and has previous experience with Minitab is also a plus.\nIs familiar with AIAG tools.\nHas experience collecting/collating data and drafting reports.\nHolds previous experience in a high-volume serial production environment is desired.\nIs able to multitask and establish priorities.\nBrings a cooperative mindset that strengthens team performance\nPhysical Requirements:\nAble to move up to 20lbs.\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nCan wear PPE.\nIs capable of making repetitive movements, including, but not limited to, sitting, squatting, and walking up and down stairs.\nAbout Noveon Magnetics\nAt Noveon Magnetics, we’re reimagining the rare earth magnet industry and changing the way we electrify the world.
