This role promotes a culture of continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in all industries.\nRESPONSIBILITES:\nProvide leadership on all HSEQ matters to ensure alignment with company objectives and industry best practices. Promote a proactive HSEQ culture at all levels of the organization.\nSafety\nOversee Safety training programs, inductions, and safety workshops.\nCoordinate and monitor Safety activities on engineering projects and field operations.\nTrack and log incidents, near misses, observations, and corrective actions.\nAnalyze incident trends and safety performance metrics for continuous improvement.\nMaintain third-party pre-qualification systems, such as Ariba, ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce and NCMS, to achieve compliance.\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HSEQ reports for internal stakeholders and clients.\nSupport onboarding new staff and contractors, ensuring all required HSEQ training and documentation is completed.\nMaintain training matrices and ensure employee certifications and medicals are current.\nCoordinate, arrange, schedule and book safety training, medical exams, and technical training for personnel.\nConduct and train supervisors to be able to perform site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses (JSA).\nTrack and report on leading and lagging HSE indicators (TRIFR, LTIFR, etc.).\nParticipate in emergency response planning and drills.\nMaintain confidentiality and accurate filing of sensitive HSEQ records.\nOversee incident investigations and near misses using root cause analysis methodologies.\nEnsure timely reporting, follow-up, and closeout of all incidents in accordance with legal and client requirements.\nPlan, schedule, and act as the company’s Safety representative during audits, inspections, and client meetings.\nQuality\nPromote awareness of company Quality policies and objectives.\nOversee internal quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems across engineering and project execution.\nEnsure effective implementation of project quality plans, inspections, ITPs, and supplier audits.\nEnsure quality records and traceability of engineering deliverables and components.\nMaintain training matrices and ensure competency records are up to date.\nCollate evidence for audits, inspections, and client reviews.\nLead investigations into non-conformances using root cause analysis methodologies.\nAct as the company’s Quality representative during audits, inspections, and client meetings.\nTrack audit actions and ensure timely closeout.\nDrive customer satisfaction through effective quality planning, performance monitoring, and non-conformance resolution.\nEnvironment\nEnsure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., waste management, spill control, emissions).\nSupport environmental impact assessments (EIA) and sustainability initiatives.\nEnsure staff are properly trained in any regulations that apply to our services.\nOther\nOrder and manage stock of HSEQ materials (e.g., PPE, signage, first aid).\nEnsure we are meeting all the HSEQ requirements spelled out in our contracts with our clients.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum 4-7 years’ experience in an HSEQ role within oil & gas or heavy engineering.\nStrong knowledge of HSEQ standards and third-party pre-qualification systems.\nAbility to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity.\nExperienced preparing reports for senior management and clients.\nDiligent with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic environments.\nSelf-motivated with excellent time management skills.\nInitiative and ability to effectively interface with all stakeholders, field and office teams.\nExcellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to engage with management, the project team members, and 3rd party organizations.\nExperienced knowledge user of HSEQ software platforms and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).\nExperience working with documents and data.\nCommitment to deliver timely and accurate results.\nAbility to prioritize work effectively and ask for support if needed.\nGood understanding of work group’s processes and procedures.\nAbility to develop positive working relationships quickly across a broad range of discipline groups and teams, build relationships, and influence internal and external project stakeholders.\nAbout Novetus Engineering LLC\nNovetus is unsurpassed in our commitment to achieving our objectives as efficiently as possible.
