Qualified candidate will be required to report to the office 4 days a week.\nKey Responsibilities:\nGeneral Accounting\nPrepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.\nMaintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.\nRecord revenue recognition, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet activity.\nSupport accounting activities across multiple legal entities.\nFinancial Reporting\nAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.\nPrepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.\nSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.\nCompliance & Internal Controls\nEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.\nPrepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.\nSupport internal controls, accounting procedures, and regulatory filings.\nProcess Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.\nDocument accounting procedures and participate in finance transformation initiatives.\nCollaborate with Finance Operations to improve automation, reporting, and data accuracy.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Revenue Operations, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and business leaders to support accurate financial reporting and operational excellence.\nQualifications:\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.\nCPA designation preferred but not required.\nExperience\n5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.\nStrong experience with accrual accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.\nExperience supporting external audits.\nProfessional services, engineering, consulting, or project accounting experience preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and Power Query.\nExperience with Bill.com, QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems.\nStrong understanding of U.S. GAAP, project accounting, and revenue recognition.\nExperience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools is a plus.\nCore Competencies\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.\nExcellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.\nHigh level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.\nContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nDelivers an accurate and timely month-end close.\nProduces reliable financial statements, reconciliations, and management reporting.\nStrengthens accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation.\nImproves efficiency through automation, standardization, and process improvements.\nBuilds trusted partnerships across Finance and Operations while supporting informed business decisions.\nAbout Novetus Engineering LLC\nNovetus is unsurpassed in our commitment to achieving our objectives as efficiently as possible.
