The successful candidate will influence enterprise-scale engineering standards on Microsoft Fabric in a context where resilience, security, and delivery quality are business critical. You will work on strategic data flows, contribute to target architecture, and help define the patterns that other delivery teams across the bank will rely on.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement robust ingestion solutions on Microsoft Fabric using the appropriate combination of Data Factory, Spark-based engineering workloads, Lakehouse patterns, and event-driven ingestion capabilities.\nBuild reusable ingestion frameworks, templates, and deployment standards that accelerate onboarding of new source systems while maintaining engineering consistency and control.\nDevelop and maintain ingestion pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and streaming data from internal banking systems, external partners, SaaS platforms, APIs, file-based interfaces, and event platforms.\nEngineer ingestion patterns that support traceability, restartability, idempotency, reconciliation, controlled reprocessing, and clear production support procedures.\nDefine and implement standards for metadata capture, schema evolution, lineage support, data quality controls, and operational logging.\nEmbed secure-by-design implementation practices including strong identity integration, least-privilege access, secrets handling, and support for data classification and sensitivity controls.\nImplement CI/CD, environment promotion, version control, and automated testing practices for ingestion assets across development, test, and production environments.\nDefine and improve observability for ingestion services, including health monitoring, runtime telemetry, alerting, diagnostics, and operational dashboards.\nSupport resilience objectives by designing for failure handling, controlled degradation, recovery procedures, and production readiness in line with banking expectations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a bank or large financial institutions is preferred.\nExperience with enterprise data governance and Purview-aligned metadata, classification, or lineage models.\nExperience integrating Fabric with broader Azure services and enterprise identity and security controls.\nExperience with Kafka, Event Hubs, CDC-based ingestion, or near real-time ingestion patterns.\nExperience designing reusable internal platforms or engineering products for multiple delivery teams.\nFamiliarity with non-functional requirements in regulated environments, including resiliency, recoverability, supportability, and evidencing of compliance.\n\nPersonal Profile\nStrong engineering ownership and delivery focus.\nAble to balance speed with rigor, control, and production readiness.\nComfortable working across architecture, engineering, operations, and governance domains.\nStrong stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to
