What if your next professional chapter started with us?\nWe have a 12-month limited term contract opportunity for a Microbiologist I.\nLocation: 25 Wolseley Court, Cambridge\nEmployment Type: Contract (12 months)\nSchedule: Weekend Nights, Sunday - Wednesday (Sunday and Monday, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am; Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 pm - 6:00 am)\nHours: 40 per week\nPay: $30.45/hour\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms testing including, but not limited to the following:Environmental monitoring of air and surfaces in the Aseptic Processing Area, including viable and non-viable testing methodology\nPersonnel monitoring of all employees qualified for entry into the Aseptic Processing Area.\nSterility testing of finished goods.\nBioburden testing of WFI and other water systems, and raw materials and components as required\nPyrogen testing of finished goods by LAL methodology.\nBacterial identification/speciation of isolates selected from the monitoring results.\nPreparation and purchasing of microbiological media (both purchased products and those manufactured in-house).\nPreparation, sterilization and sanitization of equipment and facilities used in the conduct of microbial testing, including the sterility-testing suite.\nRead plates and report the results of microbial tests.\n\nMust pass initial gowning certification requirement and must maintain monthly and yearly gowning certification.\nEnsures in-process Quality Control monitoring performance\nSupports DIR, OOS and Qnotes investigations\nMay support the development and update of SOP’s and trending reports.\nActs as a subject matter expert and provide gown training for production staff.\nParticipates in internal and external audits as required.\nObserves and supports all safety guidelines and regulations.\nFollows GMP and regulatory requirements and ensures quality standards are met.\nDemonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nBASIC REQUIREMENTS:\nEducation\nDiploma or a University degree in a related science (Microbiology).\nExperience\n2 years’ of related experience in Microbiology or related field.\nProven analytical and problem solving skills.\nDemonstrated organizational skills with the ability manage multiple priorities with minimal direction.\nEffective communication skills both verbal and written.\nExperience working in a self-directed team environment is essential.\nWork Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based for the duration of employment.
