What if your next professional chapter started with us?\nJob Summary\nThe Production Project Lead is accountable to the Production Manager and is responsible for leading project work, special initiatives, and the successful integration of commercial production activities with project execution. This role acts as the primary Production representative on cross-functional projects and ensures all activities are executed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable quality standards.\nResponsibilities\nServe as the Production lead and facilitator for projects including technology transfers, CDMO initiatives, process improvements, manufacturing compliance programs, and inter-site harmonization activities.\nPartner closely with Project Management and cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, R&D, QA, QC, Tech Services, Supply Chain, and Business Development to achieve project milestones and deliverables.\nCreate and maintain project schedules, action plans, resource plans, labour tracking, milestone reporting, and performance metrics.\nCoordinate production execution dates with Supply Chain, Project Management, and Production to ensure alignment with manufacturing schedules.\nLead project meetings, establish objectives and priorities, document actions and risks, and communicate progress effectively.\nSupport preparation of SOPs, batch records, routings, BOMs, training materials, and production documentation required for project execution.\nCoordinate training activities with Production SMEs, Operations Trainers, and Technical Services teams.\nLead production trials, technology transfers, development batches, and commercialization activities on the manufacturing floor.\nDevelop production flow concepts, workstation layouts, crewing models, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational performance.\nTrack and analyze key production metrics including cycle times, labour hours, downtime, OEE, scrap, deviations, and cost performance.\nSupport costing activities and provide production input for commercial proposals and customer opportunities.\nEnsure compliance with GMP requirements, quality systems, and workplace safety standards.\nJob Requirements\nEducation\nBachelor of Engineering / Sciencedegree is required.\nPMP certification is considered an asset.\nExperience and Skills\nMinimum 3 years of production or operations experience.\nExperience within pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, or other regulated manufacturing environments is considered an asset.\nDemonstrated experience leading interdisciplinary project teams.\nStrong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and commercialization processes.\nAdvanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Visio.\nExcellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, drive results, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.\nContinuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.\nWhat We Offer\nExcellent compensation and benefits package\nRRSP program\nDiscounted gym memberships\nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)\nCorporate discounts and perks\nEmployee recognition programs\nSocial events and spirit days\nProfessional development opportunities and internal mobility programs\nStarting at approximately $90,000 CAD, with opportunity for increase based on qualifications and experience.
